COVID PLAN- CLEAN & PROTECT
FOR SAFETY
Dilston Mill wants its visitors to feel safe and
protected.
All the appropriate government regulations and tourism
organisation recommendations have been adopted.
The existing set up is user friendly. Each Suite
has it’s own front door and no shared space, which gives
privacy as well as minimising risk during these
challenging times.
Cleaning is done by me [Susan} and the occasional
cleaner using protective equipment and careful and
thorough protocols. A steam cleaning system,
suitable for all surfaces, has been added to existing
cleaning, both for it’s efficiency and for it’s
eco-friendly properties, using only water and no
chemicals.
Blank days are left between bookings for extra safety.
Laundry is done on the premises with care taken to bag
and move the linen with the minimum disturbance.
Daily servicing and cleaning has been adapted to the
minimum needed in order to minimise personal contact.
Greeting and personal contact is kept to a socially
distanced minimum, although I am available for
information, suggestions or help.
Disposable masks and gloves are available for those
needing them.
For fresh air and heat retention, there are ventilation
systems with extractor heat-exchangers in both Suites,
particularly important during colder weather when
secondary glazing is installed and windows are opened
less frequently.
Welcome packs are are put in the kitchenettes before you
arrive reducing contact if advisable.
Booking is done by telephone, text, email or online with
booking platforms. Payment can be done by post or
bank transfer for deposits and balances or by socially
distanced cash payments.
Covid. Cancellations as a
result of Covid regulations - deposit refundable up to 2
weeks before booking date. Refunds will receive special
consideration on an individual basis. Re-booking for
later dates due to Covid restrictions can be done at no
extra charge.
Each visitor doing the booking is
requested to send or make out a Covid Statement, saying
whether and when they or anyone in their party has had
Covid symptoms or tested positive.
